PRAYER PLAN // NOVEMBER 2023

Concentric Circles

One helpful way of thinking about prayer is to think of concentric circles. You know, the circle that’s inside of a circle, which is inside of another one, and so on. If we visualize our prayer life in this way, it can help us to pray for all the people and situations in our different “circles.” For example, your smallest circle would be your home, then your community, and eventually, your world. For some of you, there might be other circles you want to add in, such as your job, your church, your extended family, etc. That’s great! This is a flexible method that molds to help you pray for everyone in your life.
“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  – Acts 1:8

PRAYER SPOTLIGHT

Each day we want our church to come together and lift up specific requests to God.

For the church community & Bible study gatherings:
  • For guidance and strength for the family leading the church, the ministry leaders, and small group facilitators.
  • For endurance and protection in spiritual conflicts.
  • For a harmonious partnership with the parent church.
  • For welcoming and integrating newcomers into the fellowship.
  • For clearer discernment of God’s direction for the church community.
  • For the worship team, especially in finding new musicians.

    For individuals seeking God:
  • For a sister who is hesitant to commit her life to God due to her Muslim family background.
  • For a brother who has spent a long time away from the church community.

    For those facing challenges:
  • In gratitude for a sister who has recently found housing and employment.
  • For a member dealing with financial difficulties.
  • For a couple experiencing strains in their marriage.
  • For a friend struggling with addiction and in need of support through prayer.
  • For a brother harboring resentment towards another, that he may find forgiveness.

For those distant from the Lord:
  • For a brother who has ceased attending church.
  • For two sisters who have grown distant from the faith community.
  • For a brother who has been engaging in mockery.

For those who do not yet know the Lord:
  • For an individual deeply rooted in Indian spirituality.
  • For someone involved in ancestor worship.
  • For a person who identifies as an atheist.

    Additional prayers for:
  • A sister’s pregnancy journey.
  • The health and well-being of a father in our community.
  • For an aunt who is on the verge of embracing faith.
  • For a family dealing with medical concerns.
  • For two more couples within our community.
  • For news and safety of a friend who has not been in contact.

Let us lift these concerns and individuals up in prayer, trusting in God’s grace and timing.

Pro Tip

As followers of Christ, it's important to maintain a committed prayer life for others, but it's equally important to complement our prayers with action. Alongside your prayers this month, we encourage you to actively extend a hand of kindness. Put your faith into practice and seek tangible ways to support and uplift those you're praying for. Let's not only be petitioners in prayer but also agents of God's love through our deeds.
